Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 17, 1972, Harris began his career early, performing stand-up comedy at the age of 16. He followed the path of his older brother, Daniel Goldberg, who himself achieved acclaim as the writer and producer of classic comedies such as *Stripes* and *Meatballs*, as well as producer of other Hollywood hits like *Junior Road Trip* and *Old School* for DreamWorks.
 

Harris made the move to Los Angeles and immediately began to make waves in Hollywood, selling his first screenplay within a week of arriving. He was quickly signed by the prestigious William Morris Agency, cementing his place among Hollywood’s rising creative talents.
