Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 17, 1972, Harris began his career early, performing stand-up comedy at the age of 16. He followed the path of his older brother, Daniel Goldberg, who himself achieved acclaim as the writer and producer of classic comedies such as *Stripes* and *Meatballs*, as well as producer of other Hollywood hits like *Junior Road Trip* and *Old School* for DreamWorks.
Harris made the move to Los Angeles and immediately began to make waves in Hollywood, selling his first screenplay within a week of arriving. He was quickly signed by the prestigious William Morris Agency, cementing his place among Hollywood’s rising creative talents. Over his career, Harris has contributed to more than twenty-five studio films, establishing a reputation for crafting sharp, memorable comedies with lasting cultural impact.
Among his greatest successes is *Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo*, which became a box office hit and a beloved comedy for audiences worldwide. Harris made his directorial short debut with Evolving Pictures Entertainment’s "Where's Angelo" starring Michael Madsen, Beverely D'Angelo and Robert Forster which premiered at "The Hollywood and Santa Barbara Film Festivals." Harris wrote the autobiographical "Numb," his directorial feature debut. Starring Matthew Perry, Mary Steenbergen, Kevin Pollak and Lynn Collins it recently premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival and winning Best Feature Audience Awards in Chicago and the Ojai Film Festival. He and Rob Schneider made a notable appearance on Conan O'Brien performing their "Blue Man Ass Group during the 5th anniversary show. Goldberg veered into television writing pilots for HBO, NBC, ABC, and TNT. He's currently about to start production on his next feature.
